Yes. We work from your must-play, preferred-play, and do-not-play lists. Wedding clients typically share these two to three weeks out. For corporate, we integrate with your run of show and any brand-approved music guidance.
Every setup runs mirrored playback with a backup laptop and dual USB drives. If the primary rig fails, the DJ switches to the hot spare within the length of one track. This has happened. It didn't stop the show.
Ceremony sound is typically a separate package — a small PA, wireless lav for the officiant, and processional playback. We can bundle it with the reception DJ or spec it as a standalone. Outdoor ceremonies almost always want a dedicated ceremony sound setup.
That's your call. We can run open-request, filter-through-the-DJ, or requests-off. Wedding clients often want a filter approach where requests need to fit their curated framework.
Our DJs usually don't bring standalone lighting. We spec the room lighting as a separate package that we design together — uplighting, dance-floor movers, gobos, haze — which produces a much better look than the light bar most standalone DJs bring.
We coordinate program-feed switching and mic-line handoffs between the DJ and band. Both share the house PA. The DJ typically covers band breaks, cocktail hour, and post-band dance sets. Timing is worked out in advance with the band's music director or bandleader.
Yes. We build scrim-wrapped booth facades that can carry a brand graphic, sponsor logo, or event lockup. Deeper builds — LED-front booths, illuminated logos, custom scenic — are available for high-visibility events.
Weddings should be booked six to twelve months out for peak dates. Corporate DJs can be booked two to four weeks out for most events. Prime-season weekends in NYC and Boston sell out — the earlier the better.
Yes. Our DJs work weddings and events across all 24 metros in NY, NJ, CT, and MA. Travel beyond a normal service radius adds a crew-travel line but doesn't change the level of service.
